ISA PNW Tree Climbing Competition


The International Urban Forestry Congress 2018 will be kicking off with a race to the tree tops. This year's ISA Pacific Northwest Tree Climbing Championship (PNW TCC) is taking place in Stanley Park on September 29 & 30. Stanley Park is highly regarded as the lungs (and maybe the heart) of Vancouver. This world-renowned park is a spectacular location for this year’s competition. Welcome Reception

The IUFC organizers want to welcome you to an exciting and enlightening congress! Come meet the IUFC hosts, organizers, sponsors, and your fellow delegates at the Welcome Reception held on Sunday, September 30 at the Westin Bayshore. The reception will take place in the Bayshore Grand Foyer and Exhibition Hall starting at 18:00. All registered delegates (except for daily registrations) are welcome. Additional tickets to the reception for accompanying persons and/or daily delegates can be purchased for $45 per person.

 

Gala Dinner 


Get out of the Congress venue for a night of activities, food, and fun! On Tuesday, October 2 starting at 19:00, IUFC 2018 delegates will be taking over Science World at TELUS World of Science. This evening will include an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding members of the arboriculture and urban forestry community. All full registered delegates and transferable pass holders are welcome. Student delegates, daily delegates, LMIC, non-profit delegates can purchase a ticket to attend the Gala Dinner for $95 per person. Transportation will be provided to and from the Westin Bayshore. We ask delegates to meet in the hotel lobby at 18:30 to board the buses.

 

Women in Trees Reception

Looking to meet fellow women in arboriculture and urban forestry? Come network with other female professionals at the Women in Trees Reception. The goal of the event is to provide an opportunity for female Arborists, Foresters, Educators, Students and other Delegates of the International Urban Forestry Congress to meet that otherwise might not have had the chance connect. This event will take place on Monday, October 1 starting at 18:30 in the Marine Room. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to women and interested persons attending IUFC 2018 as delegates. Please be aware that there is limited seating, so this event is first come, first served.
